We are committed to sustainability

Sustainability is an integral part of our corporate policy. With our reusable load carriers, which can be reduced in volume, we shape logistics processes worldwide more efficiently, replace disposable solutions and conserve resources. Our corporate processes are optimised in terms of environmental, social and economic aspects.

We consider the impact of our actions on society and the environment, avoid environmental pollution as well as waste and make sustainable decisions, particularly in procurement. We make an active contribution to slowing down climate change and preserving our planet, with the long-term goal of climate neutrality.

Our contribution to the SDGs

In 2015, 193 countries adopted the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the General Assembly, aiming to achieve them by 2030. These goals cover three key areas of sustainable development: Ecology, Society, and Economy, which also guide our orientation as a company.

We are committed to making a significant contribution to achieving these goals. To this end, we have prioritized six SDGs where we believe we can have the greatest impact. Despite our successes to date, we continuously strive for improvement and will provide regular updates on our progress.

We are implementing measures to lower our CO2_e footprint with the long-term goal of climate neutrality.

Sustainability is no longer a trend, but a fundamental necessity for the long-term success of a company. Sustainable management means that ecological, social and economic aspects are given equal consideration. It is an important approach to creating a future worth living for all of us. In my role as Sustainability Manager, I am committed to implementing WALTHER's sustainability strategy and continuously promoting sustainability awareness within the company.
