WALTHER trays meet three basic requirements: the right size, the right load capacity, and the seamless fit into automated processes. Today, WALTHER trays can be found in almost every automated food retailing distribution centre throughout Europe. The system is considered to be the most successful fully automated picking and packing system for trading units worldwide, both in the dry food segment and in the fresh food and the frozen foods segments. Numerous food retailers in Europe and North America already rely on the cost-effectiveness, flexibility, ergonomics and sustainability of this solution - in most cases even at several locations.
Automatic loading of an order pallet or roll container with trading units of various sizes and weights is done using a highly dynamic loading device.
To make the vast number of different packages to be moved controllable by gripper and transport systems, trays are needed that meet three simple requirements: everything must fit inside, they have to be able to carry a lot of weight, and they must integrate precisely into the highly complicated machinery of automatic picking.
Trays developed by WALTHER Faltsysteme easily meet these demands. But our specialists can offer even more: even conductive trays for the electronics sector or trays withstanding temperatures of down to -27 degrees Celsius in deep-freeze warehouses are no problem at all.
According to these special requirements, we develop trays manufactured either by injection moulding or in deep-drawing processes. From a range of available moulds, existing trays can be adapted or newly designed, depending on the application.
