The most important step of the entire process chain: we need to understand exactly how the processes at the customer's function. We work together with the customer, defining the characteristics required for the new container.
Initial drafts in 3D CAD programs implement the requirements for a technically correct design concept. The preliminary design will be reviewed in close co-operation with the customer and its logistical processes. The three-dimensional technical design will then be brought into its final shape based on the results of the audit. Complex designs can be implemented as functional models in 3D printing for customer approval.
For optimum implementation of the design into series production an optimal tool design is essential. We will develop this tool and produce it as a prototype. At the same time the first prototypes of the new container will be created.
The first containers from the series tool are subjected to intensive testing. If necessary, changes are made.
Based on the experience with the prototype the series tool is manufactured in the WALTHER tool making workshop. Taking the series moulding tool into operation is known as mould proving. Series production can then start. During actual series production, our engineers continue to permanently optimise the production processes.
The finished containers are grouped into shipping units and delivered according to the customer's specifications.
